Pipeline / Fact sheet

Power sets the pace.

SparkDCS develops a 200 MW pipeline alongside EDIG, the land-owning platform holding sites across the UK, Spain and Poland, and brings each site to shovel-ready, starting with power availability and phased delivery.

Four screening criteria

At the 1.20–1.25 PUE design target, 10 MW of IT load implies 12–12.5 MW of facility demand at the same load basis.

01 / Screening test≥10 MW IT

Power at scale

Screen for a supply route supporting at least 10 MW of IT load; size facility demand separately using the PUE design target. Require a dated supply proposal.

02 / Screening test2+ phases

Phaseable land

Test a layout with at least two independently serviceable phases, reserving utility corridors and construction access so later works can proceed beside an operating hall.

03 / Screening test2 fibre routes

Connectivity

Require two physically diverse fibre entry routes; obtain carrier route maps and test round-trip latency to the customer’s nominated major metro against its workload budget.

04 / Screening test1 demand study

Heat offtake

Require an identified heat-network counterparty and a seasonal demand study, including a feasible pipe route; compare recoverable heat against demand before sizing the export interface.

Demand and power access

+70%

The IEA’s 2025 base case projects European data-centre electricity demand growing 70% from 2024 to 2030, providing the regional demand context for SparkDCS’s UK, Spain and Poland focus.

96 GW

Great Britain’s transmission demand queue reached 96 GW in June 2025, according to DESNZ; SparkDCS’s power screen therefore asks for a dated supply proposal before detailed site design.
